Becoming a High Performing CHDO

Start: August 9, 2011
End: August 9, 2011
Location: Wichita, KS

The Housing Assistance Council and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Kansas City Regional Office invite you to participate in Becoming a High Performing CHDO on August 9, 2011 in Wichita, KS. We are pleased to announce that the workshop will be held concurrent to the 2011 Kansas Housing Conference: Bringing Kansas Home.

During this one-day training participants will learn the skills necessary to be a successful high performing Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). This training will help CHDO staff navigate their way to success in a changing environment that is placing increasing pressure to perform in the HOME program. It will also assist potential CHDOs to understand the environment in which they will be operating and the expectations that accompany the CHDO designation. In addition, this training will also provide a brief overview of the HOME Program rules.

Becoming a High Performing CHDO is a free training event for certified and potential CHDOs in Kansas and Missouri. Due to funding restrictions, participants must register at both https://ruralhome.org and https://www.kshousingconference.org for each of the concurrent but separate events.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to also attend the 2011 Kansas Housing Conference. For additional information or to register visit www.kshouisngconference.org.

This training is being offered through HAC’s Building Rural Communities through CHDOs Initiative.

Due to funding restrictions this training is limited to staff of certified CHDOs, potential CHDOs and PJs in Kansas and Missouri. Additionally, participants are required to register in advance for this event.
