Developing Healthy and Energy Efficient Homes for CHDOs

The Housing Assistance Council and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Albuquerque Field Office invite you to participate in Sustainable Affordable Housing on September 20-22, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. Please note the dates have been changed from those listed on certain marketing materials.

Sustainable Affordable Housing: Developing Healthy and Energy Efficient Homes for CHDOs will train staff from CHDOs and potential CHDOs involved in the construction of HOME assisted affordable housing how to incorporate cost effective green building techniques into their projects. This course will provide an in-depth introduction to developing healthy, energy efficient and environmentally responsible housing while maintaining affordability. Participants will learn the fundamentals of sustainability for housing and how to apply them to various housing situations, including single family and multifamily, new construction, rehabilitation and ongoing operations using both a classroom and real world setting.

Due to funding restrictions this training is limited to staff of certified CHDOs, potential CHDOs and PJs in New Mexico. Additionally, participants are required to register in advance for this event.
