Continuing Resolution Introduced

The House of Representatives has begun work on a short-term continuing resolution (H.J.Res.124) to prevent a government shutdown on September 30, 2014, and to begin the new 2015 fiscal year. Congress is expected to complete the CR this month. It will continue funding for government programs and services until December 11. By then Congress will be back in a post-November-elections session and will have to complete work on FY 2015 appropriations or pass another CR.
