HAC’s Rural Data Portal Wins Top Website Design Award

Washington, DC, Jan. 30, 2014 – The Housing Assistance Council (HAC) is pleased to announce that its Rural Data Portal website has been named the “Best In Class” in the non-profit website category by the Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC). This award was given to Lightmix Design Studio, the designer of the Rural Data Portal. According to IMC, the Best in Class award is “the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Council. The winner of this award has excelled in all areas of the judging criteria and achieved a perfect, or near perfect, overall score. This site represents the highest standards of professionalism, standards compliance and impeccable planning and execution. This is one of the world’s most well executed websites.”

The Rural Data Portal a simple, easy to use, on-line resource that provides essential information on the social, economic, and housing characteristics of communities in the United States. The Rural Data Portal is targeted toward rural communities, but a wide range of information is presented for all rural, suburban, and urban areas.
