Sharpening Your Skills: Financial Management for Rural CHDOs

The Housing Assistance Council and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Richmond Field Office invite you to participate in Advanced Financial Management on August 16-17, 2011 in Richmond, VA.

Sharpening Your Skills: Financial Management for Rural CHDOs is specially designed for staff with accounting and financial management responsibilities for rural Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) and other housing development entities. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the basic building blocks needed for successful organizational financial management. Topics include improving the organization’s internal controls, analyzing financial data, understanding the audit process, and identifying the impact of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act on the organization.

Due to funding restrictions this training is limited to staff of certified CHDOs, potential CHDOs and PJs in Virginia. Additionally, participants are required to register in advance for this event.
