Nuts & Bolts of Asset Management
The Housing Assistance Council and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Columbia Field Office invite you to participate in Nuts & Bolts of Asset Management and Nonprofits on February 8-9, in Columbia, SC. Crunching the numbers and solving the problems are the daily concerns of every asset manager and those assigned the asset management function. In this two day hands-on course, utilizing their own data where possible, participants will evaluate the quality of the information they receive on their projects, practice calculating key ratios with which to identify long range performance trends, establish benchmarks of high performance, and practice problem-solving. Each participant will also explore the full range of an asset manager’s responsibilities, and their role in each stage of a project’s life cycle, from pre-development through administration and disposition. Reporting and monitoring systems will be explored, with the development of asset management reporting a key outcome of the workshop. This training is being offered through HAC’s Building Rural Communities through CHDOs Initiative. Due to funding restrictions this training is limited to staff of certified CHDOs, potential CHDOs and PJs in South Carolina. Additionally, participants are required to register in advance for this event. For information, contact: Dan Stern, 202-842-8600 or registration@ruralhome.org. |
