USDA’s Rural Housing Service has released a long-awaited proposed rule to implement a packaging program for Section 502 direct loans on a national scale. A pilot program has been underway in some places for the last few years.

Comments are due October 22, 2013 on the proposal, which was published in the Federal Register on August 23.
