Eligibility and How to Apply

Is your organization ready to drive transformative change in your rural community? Confirm your eligibility for OneRural’s resources:
- Applicants: Due to funding restrictions, this program is open only to Nonprofit organizations, Tribal Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs), and federally recognized Native American Tribe.
- Verify Your Service Area: OneRural services are available only in rural, non-urbanized areas. Use the HUD Rural Capacity Building map to check if your service area qualifies.
- Project Focus: Your goals should aim to increase affordable housing, provide housing-related services, initiate community development projects, or promote economic development in rural settings.
Meeting the eligibility criteria is just the first step. OneRural Technical Assistance is a competitive program, and selection is based on the strength of your application. Here’s what you need to know about the process:
