Economic Research Service - The Economic Research Service (ERS) is the economic research agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. ERS functions include research, situation and outlook analysis, staff analysis, and development of economic and statistical indicators in five areas--commercial agriculture, food and consumer economics, natural resources and environment, rural economy, and energy and new uses.

Edward Lowe Foundation - Dedicated to supporting small business entrepreneurs. Its library is available online, and it has programs to foster networking among small businesses.

HUD User - The primary source for Federal Government reports and information on housing policy and programs, building technology, economic development, urban planning, and other housing-related topics. HUD USER also creates and distributes a wide variety of useful information products and services that are accessible via the web site.

Institute for the Study of Homelessness and Poverty - A nonprofit organization that facilitates access to accurate data and research about homelessness and poverty, focusing principally on Southern California but also indexing materials of statewide, national and global importance. All of our services are free of charge.

KnowledgePlex - KnowledgePlex® fosters collaboration within the affordable housing and community development field by linking researchers, advocates, practitioners and policy makers in a virtual meeting place. It includes current housing news and hot topics, an excellent user-friendly search tool, and a thorough knowledge library.

Library of Congress - Provides access to the Library's catalogues, exhibits, and databases. Also sections that deal with resources for researchers and information professionals, including the catalogues of other libraries, databases on special topics, other Library of Congress Internet resources and access to Thomas legislative information.

Mumford Center - Focuses on urban research at both an historical and comparative scope. The Center carries out such projects as international urban conferences and local planning initiatives.

National Public Radio Housing First series - A weekly radio broadcast on Tuesday afternoon's All Things Considered, featuring a variety of housing issues for people with special needs. The series began in 2002.

Rural Studies - Center for the Study of Rural America - With so many dramatic changes facing rural America in the 21st Century, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City decided to create a resource for this important part of our nation's economy. The Center will focus on the economic and policy issues that are unique to rural America – and give these issues the national attention they deserve. The Center for the Study of Rural America grows out of a strong tradition of excellence in researching rural and agricultural topics at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Tthe Center will produce studies on leading economic topics that will define the future of the people who work and live in rural America.

Thomas - The Library of Congress' website for information on the U.S. Congress. Includes description of the legislative process; committee documents and schedules; bill summaries, text, history, and schedules; the Congressional Record; and links to other congressional websites.

W.K. Kellogg Collection of Rural Community Development Resources - A library collection of materials relating to rural community development. It is a joint project of the Heartland Center for Leadership Development and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The website has a complete database of the collection with a description for each item as in an annotated bibliography.
