Alabama Association of Housing and Redevelopment. The Alabama Association of Housing and Redevelopment Authorities composed of 151 housing authorities across Alabama is committed to providing decent, safe and sanitary housing to the citizens in our respective communities. Members provide housing to the elderly and disabled and assist families by providing self-sufficiency programs, opportunities to further educational goals, youth programs as well as private housing.
Alaska Housing Finance Corporation. Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) is a self-supporting public corporation with offices in 16 communities throughout Alaska. It provides statewide financing for multi-family complexes, congregate facilities, and single-family homes, with special loan programs for low- and moderate-income borrowers, veterans, teachers, nurses, and those living in rural areas of the state. It also provides energy and weatherization programs, low-income rental housing in 17 communities, and special programs for the homeless and those seeking to become self-sufficient. AHFC contributes more than $100 million annually to Alaska's State budget revenues through cash transfers, capital projects and debt-service payments.

Arkansas Support Network. Arkansas Support Network's Affordable Housing program, established in 1991, assists individuals in locating affordable housing with an emphasis on homeownership. Since its inception, the program has assisted seventeen individuals who have disabilities in becoming homeowners.
California - Healthy City. Healthy City is an interactive website that allows you to create maps and find data on 18,000 services, programs and resources in Los Angeles County and can be used to access services and assess community needs. Healthy City improves the ability of low-income, underserved children, adolescents, and their families to access services and advocate for critical resources in their neighborhoods and communities.
California - The People's Guide to Welfare, Health and Other Services in Los Angeles County. The People's Guide gives practical information about how to get food, money, housing, health care and other help from government programs and community services if you live in the Los Angeles County and need the help in hard times.
Colorado State Housing Assistance. ColoradoHousing.org is a division of Housing Assistance Corporation. We specialize in providing down payment assistance to individuals and families pursuing the American Dream of owning their own home. In addition to providing NON-REPAYABLE grants/gifts that cover Down Payments and Closing Costs, CSHA provides FREE Homebuyer Education, FREE Balanced Budget Spending Plans and FREE Credit Counseling Services to any resident in Colorado.
Connecticut Housing Investment Fund, Inc. The Connecticut Housing Investment Fund, Inc. (CHIF) is a private, nonprofit organization established to finance affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization projects throughout Connecticut. Since its incorporation in 1968, CHIF has provided more than $108,000,000 in financing to assist individuals and organizations purchase, rehabilitate, or construct homes for low- and moderate-income families.
District of Columbia Metropolitan Area - Charitable Choices Housing List. Charitable Choices lists housing charities within the District of Columbia Metropolitan area. The site lists each charity's mailing, e-mail and web addresses, as well as its phone and fax numbers.
District of Columbia Metropolitan Area - Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers (HAND). The Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers, or HAND, was formed in November, 1991, to increase the technical and productive capacity of Washington metropolitan area nonprofit housing developers by establishing periodic educational and professional interaction opportunities.
Florida - Affordable Housing Concepts, Inc. (AHCI) - Affordable Housing Concepts, Inc., (AHCI) is a 501 (c)(3) non profit housing corporation which assists very low, low, and moderate income Americans in reaching their dream of home ownership, through its housing programs. AHCI receives no Government funding, all programs are funded through fund raising campaigns
Florida Association for Community Action - The Florida Association for Community Action had developed and managed Florida's statewide, toll-free Hunger Hotline. The hotline operates 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. The Hunger Hotline provides referrals to approximately 2000 agencies across the state of Florida which offer various assistance programs to Floridians. These agencies' services include hot meals and shelter, canned goods and commodities, clothing, furniture, rent and utility assistance, referrals and other services.
Florida Housing Coalition - The Florida Housing Coalition is unique in that it provides technical assistance to local governments and nonprofit organizations in all areas of affordable housing. Its technical assistance team consists of six technical assistance staff members and 25 experienced professionals that volunteer on the board of directors. The Coalition also has access to a number of other volunteers available to assist in specialized areas.
Idaho Housing and Finance Association - The Idaho Housing and Finance Association's mission is to expand Idaho's affordable housing opportunities by providing vision, leadership and results in: identifying, securing and administering monies for housing; cultivating partnerships through excellent customer service; creatively and innovatively maximizing limited resources; actively responding to housing challenges efficiently and effectively; and providing education, training, resource coordination and policy formulation on housing issues affecting Idahoans
Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) - The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) has programs to assist in the attainment of housing for low-and moderate-income Iowans.
Kentucky Housing Corporation - Kentucky Housing Corporation, created by the 1972 General Assembly, is a self-supporting, public corporation of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. KHC has made homeownership possible for over 55,000 low- and moderate-income Kentucky families. KHC also operates through the receipt of fees for administering federal programs including rental assistance that makes safe, decent, affordable housing available to more than 27,000 low-income Kentuckians. Other programs additionally offered by KHC include rental housing production financing, homeownership education/counseling and a variety of rental assistance, housing rehabilitation and home repair initiatives.
Maryland - Prince George's Department of Housing & Community Development - The Prince George's County Department of Housing and Community Development and its Housing Authority is to expand access to a broad range of quality housing; create safe, well planned, attractive residential communities and enable families to become self-sufficient and communities to become stable.
Massachusetts - Boston Area Housing Authorities & Tenant Organizations - This site has a listing of the Boston Area Housing Authorities & Tenant Organizations.
Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) - The formation of the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD)addresses problems which confront the state's cities and towns which could be solved only by the establishment of a state level agency concerned with local issues and community development. DHCD has continued to be concerned with solving these problems and acts as the leading advocate for local governments and community agencies. In this role: DHCD makes state and federal funds and technical assistance available to strengthen communities and help them plan new developments, encourage economic development, revitalize older areas, improve local government management, build and manage public housing, stimulate affordable housing through the private sector and respond to the needs of low-income people. The Office administers the state's public housing programs, coordinates its anti-poverty efforts, allocates federal community development programs and provides a variety of services to local government officials.

Nebraska Department of Economic Development Listing of Community & School Websites - This is a listing of school and website links for Nebraska. It contains information on individual communities including community profiles, colleges, K-12 schools, chambers of commerce, historical markers, businesses, and links to the 266 Nebraskan counties.
New York - Empire Justice - Empire Justice is the only statewide, multi-issue, multi-strategy nonprofit law firm focused on changing the systems within which poor and low income families live. With a focus on poverty law, Empire Justice undertakes research and training, acts as an informational clearinghouse, and provides litigation backup to local legal services programs and community based organizations. As an advocacy organization, they engage in legislative and administrative advocacy on behalf of those impacted by poverty and discrimination. As a nonprofit law firm, they provide legal assistance to those in need and undertake impact litigation in order to protect and defend the rights of disenfranchised New Yorkers.
New York - Housing First! - Housing First!'s mission is: (1) to elevate the issue of affordable housing for all New Yorkers to the top of the civic agenda, through forums and public events, reports, media outreach, website and other means; and (2) to advance a detailed plan for a 10-year program of public and private investment to develop and preserve all types of affordable housing for New Yorkers.

The Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio (COHHIO) is a coalition of organizations and individuals committed to ending homelessness and to promoting decent, safe, fair, affordable housing for all, with a focus on assisting low-income people and those with special needs. COHHIO was founded in October of 1994 through the merger of the Ohio Housing Coalition, which was established in 1974, with the Ohio Coalition for the Homeless, which was established in 1984. Ohio Department of Development has created a web page that includes an interactive map of housing resources. People in need can click on the county in which they are located and be linked with a contact organization and telephone number. The site also provides a wealth of data about the Neighborhood Stabilization Program and Rapid Re-Housing Program.

Oregon Housing and Community Services - Oregon Housing and Community Services is Oregon's housing finance agency, providing financial and program support to create and preserve opportunities for quality, affordable housing for Oregonians of lower and moderate income. The current agency was created in 1991, when the legislature merged the Oregon Housing Agency with State Community Services. The coordination between housing and services creates a continuum of programs that can assist and empower lower-income individuals and families in their efforts to become self-reliant. OHCS administers federal and state antipoverty, homeless and energy assistance, and community service programs. OHCS also assists in the financing of single-family homes, the new construction or rehabilitation of multifamily affordable housing developments, as well as grants and tax credits to promote affordable housing.

Portland Oregon Housing Connections - Housing Connections is a web-based community service that connects providers of housing and housing services to renters who are looking for housing opportunities. They provide access to up-to-date housing information with user-friendly tools including a Housing Locator and a Housing Calculator. These tools are customized for renters, landlords and property managers, and housing agency staff that help people find and keep housing. Housing Connections serves the Portland Metropolitan Area including Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas Counties in Oregon and Clark County in Washington state.
South Carolina Rental Housing Finder - SCHousing Search.com celebrates is an Internet service that lists and locates rental housing in south Carolina. The South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority teamed up with SocialServe.com to develop this site to ensure accessibility to housing and related resources for South Carolina citizens.
Texas Rural Rental Housing Page - This site includes information on Rural Rental Housing in Texas including a searchable link for rental housing rural areas.
Vermont Directory of Affordable Rental Housing - The Vermont Housing Data Web site is the largest single source for Vermont-related market rate and affordable housing information. In response to the need identified by policymakers, community leaders, and the public for accurate, timely, and easily obtained data through one central data source, Vermont Housing Data provides updated housing and economic information for towns, counties, and the state as a whole. The site contains Vermont Housing Data contains the latest 2000 Census Bureau data as well as lots of data released by the Vermont organizations. The Directory of Affordable Rental Housing (DoARH) provides updated information about affordable rental housing throughout Vermont - a useful tool for consumers searching for affordable housing. Powerful research and personal tools are also included: a calculator for determining monthly home mortgage payments, information about special needs housing, definitions of technical housing terms, and the ability to download the data in a variety of formats.
Virginia - Affordable Housing Guide. Central Virginia Affordable Housing Guide for the rental market. The Guide provides listings in Richmond and surrounding Central and South Central Virginia of reasonably affordable complexes and rental homes, public housing, and section 8 properties and can be very useful during a housing search. The Guide also gives good information to help you along the way such as: fair housing information, tips for tenants, crime prevention tips, apartment check-in procedures, and many referral sources.
Washington - House Key Program - In Washington State, the House Key Program helps finance homebuyer programs, nonprofit facilities, nonprofit housing, multifamily housing, housing tax credit and housing preservation. The House Key Program assists compliance managers, lenders, homebuyers (homebuyer education), and partnerships.

The Tenants Union is a non-profit, membership-based organization that provides information to Washington State tenants and fights for stronger tenants' rights.
Washington Low Income Housing Network - The mission of the Washington Low Income Housing Network is to build a broad-based and diverse statewide coalition to promote the development and preservation of affordable housing for people with low income through information exchange, policy monitoring and analysis, public education, advocacy, and leadership development.
Wisconsin Front Door Housing - The resource tool, www.wifrontdoorhousing.org (a HousingPoint product offered by Bowman Internet Systems) went live for property owners and managers in October 2004 and to homeless persons, service providers, advocates and other interested parties in January 2005. There is no charge to persons accessing the site or to property owners and managers for listing affordable rental units. Additional information on the site directs users to the apartment associations in Wisconsin, HUD and USDA.
